Sara McDowell has over a decade of experience as a creative within the editorial and advertising industry. Her career began working for the acclaimed photographers Annie Leibovitz and Mark Seliger where she honed her creative eye on high caliber celebrity and advertising shoots. Continuing her career at VOGUE, she worked alongside industry legends in the photo department, before leaving to work at the then start-up, Refinery29. Over her five years at Refinery29, Sara strategized and built out the creative arm of their branded division; and as acting creative director, ideated creative platforms that came to life through photo, video, social, influencer and experiential executions while working with top tier clients such as Neiman Marcus, ASOS, Revlon, Cartier, Saks, Coach and Levi's.
Utilizing the knowledge she gained over the years and born out of a desire to see more raw and honest content, Sara launched the creative studio, See Me Creative, which strives to bring out the best in brands through meaningful and culturally relevant creative.
Sara also works as a director and is passionate about telling stories that make people feel seen.
